Edward Scissorhands Review
Edward Scissorhands is a great film directed by Tim Burton it is about a tall thin mysteries character how is discovered by a despite Avon lady how she thinks is a normal person but then she realises his strange feature and being lock up he did not now how to react in society. The film is a dark fantasy film.
The film is set in a colourful street a Quite Street with each house a very bright bold colour e.g. one house pink one house blue and so on. It is like the houses in Balamory the film is set in the 1950.
The characters are all really normal middle class Americans well they are a bit strange and the main character Edward played by Jonny Depp is not normal at all with his strange fingers he is not excepted by the rest of the neighbour hood he does not have common sense.
An old granny tells her granddaughter telling her were the snow comes from it comes from the creepy man at the top of hill in this old horrible tower. But his odd fingers help him to make a beautiful garden the creepy man makes a hard journey to try and fit in but his journey is made a lot harder when he meets normal people who like to be very complicated.
The issues that are in this film are that he does not now how to work and reacted in modern America he does not understand relationships The Director has used lighting to make the street very bright but when something bad or scary happens the scene goes really dark e.g. When peg bogg discovers him in the old shabby attic.
I think that Edward Scissorhands is a great film and it is a must see it’s a great film for the hole family can watch and enjoy also it is greatly imaginative I will give it a 3 star because some of the film is a bit predictable .
